William D. Steinhauer, DDS
Dr. William D. Steinhauer is a San Antonio native; he grew up and attended school here in the city. He graduated Cum Laude from St. Mary’s University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. Dr. Steinhauer then attended the University of Texas Dental School at the San Antonio Health Science Center, which has been rated the top dental school in the United States for a number of years.
After receiving his dental degree in 1979, Dr. Steinhauer served a tour in the United States Army and was awarded the Army Commendation Metal for meritorious service. After his military tour, Dr. Steinhauer returned to the U.T. Health Science Center where he completed a residency in Pediatric Dentistry and received his certificate in 1986.
Dr. Steinhauer has been in private practice since that time and has managed to hold many positions in organized dentistry, such as President of the Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, while running a busy pediatric practice. Dr. Steinhauer has also served on many committees and functioned as an advisor to the Texas Department of Health, the Texas Nurses Association, and the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District.
Dr. Steinhauer presently serves as the Chairman of the Dental Division at the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, and as the Chairman of the Committee on Access to Care, Medicaid, and CHIP for the Texas Dental Association. Outside the office Dr. Steinhauer enjoys reading; spending time with family, friends, and neighbors; and is involved in his parish church community.

Olga
Olga, our office manager and receptionist, is a registered dental assistant. She has been in the dental field for over 35 years and joined Dr. Steinhauer and his team in 2008. Olga can assist you with appointments, insurance and billing questions, school forms, and general office information. Outside the office, Olga enjoys reading, travel, and spoiling her grandchildren.
Yoli
Yoli has been in dentistry for over 30 years. She started as a dental assistant and recently moved to our front office to help with insurance and appointments. However, she can still be found from time to time assisting with patients in the clinical area. Besides working with Dr. Steinhauer for over 10 years, Yoli also worked at the U.T. Dental School for 5 years. Yoli has 3 daughters and 9 granddaughters.
Bert
Bert is our lead dental assistant. She has been a dental assistant for over 35 years, including 2 years at the U.T. Dental School and 20 years with Dr. Steinhauer. Bert is a registered dental assistant and certified by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners in X-rays, sealant application, and nitrous monitoring. Bert has 2 children, and outside the office she can be found home decorating and spending time with her grandchildren and friends.
Letty
Letty has been a licensed dental hygienist since 1979. She returned to our office after an extended leave to have her second child. She has worked with Dr. Steinhauer for a total of over 17 years now that she is back. Outside the office, Letty enjoys being able to settle down with a good book or chauffeuring her children to their various activities.
